From an Engineer to a Juggler – A Journey to Follow One’s Dream
Would you leave a comfortable job just to follow your dreams? Dianna David did.
This first-generation Filipino-Canadian left her career as a mechanical engineer to pursue a life as a contact juggler, hip hop artist, actor, dancer and storyteller. And guess what? She’s made a living out if it and that’s the role-model she wants to be.
A recognised artist in Vancouver’s entertainment industry, Dianna defines herself as a Physical Entertainer, an Artpreneur and “Classically Quirky with an Urban Twist”. Her performance style is sometimes hard to pinpoint because you’ve probably never seen anything like it. A fusion of traditional storytelling techniques, Hip Hop dance, mime, clowning, and multimedia technology, she pushes the limits of innovative performance to reach a wide range of audiences while addressing relevant social issues.
Dianna’s goal is to build a creative community where potential and dreams can become a reality and passion can become a way of life.
